Loving God and each other

We work together to be the best we can be.

On behalf of  Cidari, the staff, governors, children and parents I would like to warmly welcome you and your family to St Silas Primary School. We hope you will enjoy reading our school website and that it gives you a glimpse of what our school is about.

We would encourage you to come and visit us to see our vision in action and the impact it has on the quality of education and care given to our children within our award- winning school building. The school was graded good in all areas in our recent Ofsted inspection. We would love to show you around our school and answer any questions you may have. Please ring us and make an appointment.

At St Silas we place great emphasis upon the well- being and personal development of every child, basing everything we do on our Christian faith values of Love, Service, Thankfulness and Belonging. Loving God and each other is at the heart of our school and vision. We were awarded the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools ‘School Mental Health Award’ – Bronze Status in June 2023 to reflect this.

In our school we celebrate the diversity of our local community and work with our parents to ensure we meet the needs of each child. Our value of Belonging ensures every child and family is welcomed and valued. This was acknowledged by Ofsted in our April 2023 Ofsted. They said 'Pupils have a strong sense of belonging'. The school was awarded the SEND inclusion award in 2022 for our work with SEND children.

We provide a well- resourced, broad and balanced curriculum with lots of opportunities to widen your child’s experiences through an extensive range of trips, visitors and extra activities. We have strong links with Children’s University. All this enables us to develop your child’s individual talents.

We have high expectations in both learning and behaviour and by working together we aim to be the best that we can be. We encourage every child to be the best that they can be; the person God wants them to be. We are looking forward to welcoming you and your child to St Silas’  family.
