Our school lunches are freshly prepared on the premises by Aspens using quality produce. We aim to make our lunches nutritious and appetising, following current food standards and recommendations.
Each day there is a choice of meals. Meals are prepared and served in accordance with strict Halal requirements. Our Catering Manager, Kitchen and Welfare staff are all aware of individual dietary requests and preferences. Children eat lunch in the hall in three sittings. They sit in their year groups. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will automatically receive a school dinner as part of the Universal Free School Meal initiative.
As part of the National Fruit Scheme, we provide free fruit or vegetables every afternoon for all infant children. Sweets are not permitted in school. We actively encourage the bringing of healthy snacks at break times for junior children and also healthy lunch box choices. There is snack shop for Key Stage 2 children at playtime.
Our lunches cost £2.40 per day.
