KS1 have made fridge magnets in DT.
KS1 visit to Formby
On Tuesday 14th June, Year 1 and 2 enjoyed a trip to Formby Beach as part of our work in Geography on Coasts. We had so much fun paddling in the sea and playing in the sand. The day was warm and the sun was shining - perfect beach weather.

World book Day KS1 March 2022
For World Book Day, Year 1/2 read Elephant in my Kitchen by Smritti Halls. We made our own houses and filled them with animals. Then we changed the story. Some of the new stories were Parrot in my Bathroom, Octopus in my Bedroom and Polar Bear in my Fridge.
Using rekenreks to compose numbers in Year 2
In Oak class, during our afternoon NCETM Mastering Number sessions, we have been using our rekenreks to compose numbers. We have been focusing on 'making' numbers and 'seeing' the parts inside numbers.
Year 2 Leaves
In science , Year 2 have been looking at leaves. They used a magnifying glass to look carefully and tried to name them using a key. They found out that the green leaves all came from evergreen trees and the brown ones are from deciduous trees. It was a lot of fun
KS1 Science-bark rubbing
Y1/2 bark rubbing in science . We are looking at deciduous and evergreen trees.
KS1 Music
Willow class have been learning about the differences between blues and baroque styles of music. They played 'C' along to the music counting in threes.
KS1 Caveman Art
Key Stage 1 children have been developing their art skills using charcoal.
