Year 6 Sports Day.
Year 6 have had a fantastic sports day afternoon. There were some amazing performances and personal achievements. Well Done! All the schools in Children's University competed against each other.
UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador
Mrs Matthews from St Silas will be joining the UK Parliament Teachers’ Institute 27-29 June. Better engagement and dialogue with young people is of fundamental importance to our democracy. Sadly our Year 6 trip to the Houses of Parliament was cancelled due to the train strike.
KS1 visit to Formby
On Tuesday 14th June, Year 1 and 2 enjoyed a trip to Formby Beach as part of our work in Geography on Coasts. We had so much fun paddling in the sea and playing in the sand. The day was warm and the sun was shining - perfect beach weather.
Habitat Study in Year 4 in the River Ribble Estuary
Y4 visited @RSPB_Ribble and did some superb work learning about habitats, especially the mudflat habitat of the Ribble estuary. This was the start of our new habitats topic and the end of our rivers topic from last half term.
Farmer Duck
EYFS are having a 'quacking' time acting out 'Farmer Duck.' These fabulous animal pals knew how to teach that lazy farmer a lesson and help their hardworking friend.
Jubilee Fair
On the 25th May we celebrated the Queen's Jubilee with our parents, past and present pupils and governors.
Year 6 science-blood
Year 6 made some 'blood' to understand the different components of our blood.

Year 6 enjoyed learning all about money.
Year 6 Digimaps-London
Year 6 have been preparing for their trip to the Houses of Parliament using Digimaps/
Clay Pots in Year 6
Year 6 enjoyed using making pinch pots and wave pots. Some of these pots are on display in the school entrance.
Year 6 Music-Rap
Year 6 enjoyed their music lesson with BOlton Music Hub. They were learning to rap.
