On a very wet Wednesday, Year 1 and 2 went on a trip to Martin Mere. We saw lots of different species of birds, learnt about swan migration and dipped our nets in a pond to find all the little creatures that were living in the water. The children were all really interested in finding out about habitats and why birds would travel to Martin Mere from hot or cold countries. We all got to handle the wings of a swan and some children got to watch the otters being fed. They all behaved so well and we are very proud of them.
