Year 4 had an Anglo Saxon visitor to learn more about life in Anglo Saxon time.

Year 4 Science-How fast do liquids flow?
Year 4 created a ramp and covered it in foil. Using a syringe they dropped different liquids onto the ramp and timed how long it took the liquid to reach the bottom of the ramp. They had to make sure it was a fair test.
World book Day KS1 March 2022
For World Book Day, Year 1/2 read Elephant in my Kitchen by Smritti Halls. We made our own houses and filled them with animals. Then we changed the story. Some of the new stories were Parrot in my Bathroom, Octopus in my Bedroom and Polar Bear in my Fridge.
World Book Day-Year 6 French
Y6 Hawthorn made posters of La chenille qui fait des trous (The Very Hungry Caterpillar). They had to order the days of the week and numbers (revision) and work out what he ate, and order it onto a poster/story map.

The Wise and Foolish Builder
Year 5 were learning all about the importance of having a strong foundation in life as this impacts the way we live and our relationship with God.
Year 4 DT Making lights
Y4 are making lights in DT. We are using the knowledge that we learned in Science and applying it to our design brief. We have learned how to use new tools too. We will share photographs of the finished lights later.
Year 3 Magnets
Y3 learnt about the North and South poles of a magnet and made their own compass. They have also been investigating which magnet was the strongest.
Litter PIcking Competition

Science in Year 5 Earth,Sun and Moon
Year 5 used a swivel chair, a light and globe as the perfect props to model and explain how the earth's rotation causes day and night to happen.
